in brief

I'm a food editor, cookbook author, recipe developer, and teacher. I am also the chief executive officer of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP). I live in Portland, Oregon, and thereby have access to fantastic agricultural bounty, exquisite hand-crafted food, and a right jolly restaurant scene.

the work I do now

I'm always open to new projects, and I love to work with like-minded collaborators, either as a partner or a consultant. Here's a partial list of things I like to do:

  • Co-write or ghost-write cookbooks
  • Consult on cookbooks (help to shape and edit)
  • Write cookbook proposals
  • Write copy for advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Translate cookbooks and culinary texts from French to English
  • Manage editorial projects, including design direction and photo shoots
  • Consult on product development

What else ya got?
